The next morning I called excitedly to Ambrose. I explained in one breath the findings. "We were right. The code is a hoax. "Ambrose was amazed at the results. It was very curious the different behavior between the English and Hebrew. I explained that the key was the Hebrew language vowels that were versatile, depending on the environment could adopt one or other meaning.

A la mañana siguiente llamé entusiasmada a Ambròs. Le expliqué de un tirón las conclusiones obtenidas. “Teníamos razón. El código es una patraña.” Ambrós estaba asombrado de los resultados obtenidos. Era muy curioso el distinto comportamiento entre los idiomas inglés y hebreo. Le explique que la clave eran las vocales del idioma hebreo que eran polivalentes, según el entorno podían adoptar uno u otro significado.


En este sentido otros idiomas como el inglés, el castellano o el francés eran más rígidos y podían generar menos posibilidades. El factor del desordenamiento también tenía una explicación: al irse formando matrices algunas de las palabras originarias del texto se podían encontrar directamente en las matrices, era como un juego de magia, pero real. Esto daba más posibilidades a los textos ordenados.

No había lugar a dudas: cualquier libro con las mismas características que la Biblia, es decir con el mismo número de palabras y escrito en hebreo proporcionaría la misma información que el libro sagrado. Ambròs me felicitó efusivamente y me deseó suerte con vistas a la divulgación de mi hallazgo.

A continuación me senté en el viejo sofá y estuve saboreando al mismo tiempo un té con menta y el éxito efímero de la satisfacción por el logro alcanzado. 6

El mes de noviembre de 1998 envíe el artículo en inglés al editor de la revista Stadistical Science, Leon Gleser con la esperanza de que fuese publicada.

Acompañé el artículo con una carta en la que explicaba mi fascinación por el tema y como había llegado a la redacción del manuscrito. Terminaba la carta indicando que aunque el artículo de Witzum et al era aparentemente correcto desde un punto de vista matemático, sin embargo contenía algunas trampas. Esto quería decir que algunos conceptos vitales habían sido ocultados deliberadamente.


Concluía que era como una famosa demostración lógica que muestra, utilizando el peligroso concepto de infinito, que jamás el atleta Aquiles podrá alcanzar a la tortuga. No obstante, Lewis Carol escribió un delicioso diálogo entre la tortuga y Aquiles donde el atleta, sentado sobre el caparazón del quelonio, segundos después de alcanzar al simpático competidor. Concluía la carta expresando el sin sentido que suponía la afirmación lógica comentada.

Al cabo de unos días recibí acuse de recibo y me comunicaba que en breve me dirían su decisión sobre el tema.

Therefore, it seems that only part of the ELS's found in the Bible were inserted explicitly by the author of the book. In any case none of them has a predictive character, but is based on known facts and therefore do not have a miracle or divine origin. Many others arise randomly as discussed below and explain part of the behavior of the ELS's that are found in the literature.



I found that it was very important to distinguish from each other not to fall into fallacies and false doctrines or demagoguery. Though always fond of math, my knowledge in this area was scarce, so it was impossible to analyze critically the work of the three Israeli mathematicians. For this reason, after several sleepless nights, I could tackle the problem another way different. At the end of the day take me to the same goal. Therefore I decided to study the issue from the standpoint of probability.


That is, I begin to calculate probabilities that a particular event may occur. The most common example is the launch of a coin. The probability of getting heads is fifty per cent.First at all I established a method that allowed me to predict the number of possible ELS's appeared randomly in any text.


I also studied what were the factors that gave rise to the emergence of ELS'sy what effect they had on this phenomenon.I also checked the influence of the type of language used and selected for comparison Hebrew and English languages.I begging defining the mathematical model (KWP), key word prediction, which would allow us to predict the number of ELS's generated randomly in text. The ELS's generating system adopted was based on that developed by Witzum et al. (Stadistical Science. 1994), which call ELS's system.


This methodology eliminates the spaces between letters and considers the text as a single string or strand of letters. Applying all possible letters jumps obtained multiple forms of text in two dimensions. These forms of the text will call matrices.



I defined the keyword that caused the system to develop thematic ELS'sy for word which is in an environment close to a key word and its meaning has some affinity with this keyword. In this environment I called submatrix. From a previously selected constraints (a set of independent variables specific to the language, the text under study and the ELS system's), the mathematical model used KWP allows to know the number of keywords and thematic ELS's that system will generate.

Por lo tanto, parece que sólo una parte de las ELS´s encontradas en la Biblia fueron insertadas expresamente por el autor del libro sagrado. En cualquier caso ninguna de ellas tiene carácter predictivo, sino que se fundamentan en hechos conocidos y por lo tanto no tienen un origen milagroso o divino. Muchos otros se originan de forma aleatoria como veremos a continuación y explican parte del comportamiento de las ELS´s que se encuentran en la bibliografía consultada.


Observé que era muy importante saber distinguir unas de otras, para no caer en sofismas o doctrinas erróneas o demagógicas.Aunque aficionada desde siempre a las matemáticas, mis conocimientos en esta materia eran escasos, por lo que veía imposible analizar críticamente el trabajo de los tres matemáticos israelitas. Por este motivo, tras varias noches de insomnio, vi que podía abordar el problema por otro camino distinto. Al fin y a la postre me llevaría a la misma meta. Por esto decidí estudiar el tema desde el punto de vista probabilístico.

Es decir, empezar a calcular probabilidades de que un determinado suceso se pueda producir. El ejemplo más común es el del lanzamiento de una moneda al aire. La probabilidad de que salga cara es del cincuenta por ciento.En primer lugar establecí un método que me permitía predecir el número de posibles ELS´s aparecidas de forma aleatoria en cualquier texto.

También estudié cuales eran los factores que originaban la aparición de ELS´s y que efecto tenían sobre este fenómeno. Asimismo comprobé la influencia que tiene el tipo de idioma utilizado y seleccioné para hacer la comparación los idiomas hebreo e inglés. Comencé definiendo el modelo matemático (KWP), key word prediction, que nos permitiría predecir el número de ELS´s generadas de forma aleatoria en un texto. El sistema generador de ELS´s adoptado se basaba en el desarrollado por Witzum et al. (Stadistical Science. 1994), el cual llamaremos sistema ELS´s.

Esta metodología elimina los espacios entre letras y considera el texto como una única secuencia o hebra de letras. Aplicando todos los saltos de letras posibles se obtienen múltiples formas del texto en dos dimensiones. A estas formas del texto las llamaremos matrices.

Definí como palabra clave la originada al desarrollar el sistema ELS´s y por palabra temática la que está en un entorno próximo a una palabra clave y su significado tiene cierta afinidad con esta palabra clave. A este entorno le llamé submatriz. A partir de unos condicionantes previamente seleccionados (un conjunto de variables independientes propias del idioma, del texto en estudio y del sistema ELS´s), el modelo matemático KWP permite conocer el nº de palabras clave y temáticas que el sistema de ELS´s generará.

As I said earlier in the Bible there are certain words like TORA inserted in Genesis or Aaron in Leviticus, that mathematical probability calculations can demonstrate that they could only be if the author of the book had included a voluntary basis in drafting the text . This option is technically feasible as discussed below, nothing strange, considering that this is a religious book, where the introduction of esoteric and cryptographic elements form part of some initiation ritual.



We also forget that when the Bible was written, the Jews of that time were well aware of Egyptian culture and probably were aware of certain techniques used to hide messages in a literary text. Moreover, the original Hebrew was a language very close to the Egyptian language, which was full of symbolic and hieroglyphic conducive such literary style.


The Bible also contains certain models of ELS's that could have been included as verifiers of the integrity or authenticity of text.This integrity is assured through the oral transmission of certain esoteric doctrine that passed from generation to generation and which probably included some arithmetic instructions (Kabbalah) to verify the authenticity of the book of Moses.


A small change in the text would be easily detected. For example, the inclusion or elimination of one break point entirely ELS'sy system so the student of the holy book immediately detect the adulteration of the original text. They wanted to keep the biblical text, due to successive translations and versions were changed over time to lose some of its original message.


The case of ELS's, found the Pentateuch, where important rabbis are correlated with their dates of birth and death, according to the work of Witzun et al, could be explained considering that ELS's are  retroactive and not predictive ones.

Como he comentado anteriormente en la Biblia hay insertadas ciertas palabras como TORA en el Génesis o AARON en el Levítico, que por cálculo de probabilidad matemática se puede demostrar que sólo podrían estar si el autor del libro las hubiese incluido de forma voluntaria al redactar el texto. Esta posibilidad es técnicamente factible como veremos a continuación y nada extraña, teniendo en cuenta que se trata de un libro religioso, donde la introducción de elementos esotéricos y criptográficos formaría parte de un cierto ritual iniciático.


No hemos tampoco de olvidar que cuando la Biblia se redactó, los hebreos de aquel tiempo conocían bien la cultura egipcia y probablemente estaban al corriente de ciertas técnicas utilizadas para ocultar mensajes en un texto literario. Por otro lado, el hebreo primitivo era un idioma muy cercano al idioma egipcio, el cual estaba repleto de elementos simbólicos y jeroglíficos que propiciaban este tipo de estilo literario.

La Biblia también contiene ciertos modelos de ELS´s que podrían haberse incluido como verificadores de la integridad o autenticidad del texto.Esta integridad se aseguraba mediante la transmisión oral de cierta doctrina esotérica que pasaba de generación en generación y en la que probablemente se incluían ciertas instrucciones aritméticas (Cábala) para comprobar la autenticidad del libro de Moisés.



Un pequeño cambio en el texto se detectaría fácilmente. Por ejemplo, la inclusión o eliminación de una sola letra rompería totalmente el sistema de ELS´s y por lo tanto el estudioso del libro sagrado detectaría inmediatamente la adulteración del texto primitivo. Se quería evitar que el texto bíblico, debido a las sucesivas traducciones y versiones, fuese cambiando con el paso del tiempo hasta perder parte de su mensaje original.

El caso de las ELS´s, encontradas el Pentateuco, donde se correlacionan importantes rabinos con sus fechas de nacimiento y muerte, de acuerdo con el trabajo de Witzun et al, se podría explicar considerando que se trata de ELS´s retroactivas y no predictivas.

I fell asleep and had a very beautiful dream. With a swarthy man I spoke of love and metaphors about a boat that sails aimlessly, guided by chance. I spoke words that made those moments were very sweet. Dreams have the virtue of connecting our ancestral parts of the brain, the limbic system, with the most sophisticated and rational, the cerebral cortex.


It was pure magic and poetry. Together we are transported to lavish virtual havens, Eurice the distant star, the legendary Mauritius and Mykonos. We drank champagne and everything was fine. We walked together for Heliocristal, the city of perpetual peace, where there is always a twilight atmosphere. In these places it is said that the primary force was born, that created the universe. They are ancient legends of its old inhabitants, invisible beings that resemble the angels and watch over the fate of mankind.

When I awoke I could not tell the real from the unreal, I was lost in an unknown dimension. The paradise of dreams is as magical and amazing as the Land of Alice, the heroine of Lewis Carroll.

Me quedé dormida y tuve un sueño muy bello. Un hombre de tez morena me hablaba de amor y unas metáforas acerca del una barca que navega sin rumbo, guiada por el azar. Me decía palabras que hacían que aquellos momentos fuesen muy dulces. Los sueños tienen la virtud de conectar nuestras partes más ancestrales del cerebro, el sistema límbico, con las más evolucionadas y racionales, la corteza cerebral.

Todo era mágico y pura poesía. Juntos nos transportamos a paraísos virtuales fastuosos, a la lejana estrella Eurice, a la Isla Mauricio y a la mítica Mikonos. Bebimos Champagne y todo era maravilloso. Paseamos juntos por Heliocristal, la ciudad de la paz perpétua, donde siempre hay una atmósfera crepuscular. En estos parajes se cuenta que nació la fuerza primigenia, la que creó el universo. Son leyendas antiguas de sus viejos moradores, unos seres invisibles que se asemejan a los ángeles y velan por la suerte de la humanidad.

Sweet dreams / Dulces sueños

Last night I dreamed I was riding on a train gliding through clouds of dust billowing gold. I undertook a journey of initiation through jungles of pearl and coral trees. The train reached a hill from which they could see a city covered with snow. The atmosphere was bluish and had seven moons of parchment nailed to the sky.


I looked ragged figures like sculptures carved by angels in the icy heights. It looked like a description of a tale of J.G.Ballard. I was reminded of the lyrics of a song by Alberto Cortez :"Castles in the air with clouds of cotton, windows full of magic and fabulous color”.

The train whistle cut my reverie and I discovered endless white sand dunes. In the distance I looked flooded sites of ignored mythologies. I was spellbound by an amazing procession of fireflies lighting floating away from reality.

I had the presentiment of Ilight spirits and I was drunk with the aroma of a wine scented with rose petals, sandalwood and ginger root.

When I woke everything seemed unreal. The magic of dreams transport us into virtual country where the improbable becomes real and where fantasy becomes reality. Dreams are hard to interpret, but if they leave a taste of honey on your lips and your spirit is impregnated with perfume notes of exotic woods and incense, you feel like you return at night to keep dreaming sweetly.

Observé figuras deshilachadas semejantes a esculturas esculpidas por ángeles en las gélidas alturas. Parecía una descripción de un relato de J.G.Ballard. Me vino a la memoría la letra de una canción de Alberto Cortez: “Castillos en el aire, con nubes de algodón, ventanas fabulosas llenas de magia y de color”.

El silvido del tren me cortó la ensoñación y descubrí entonces infinitas dunas de arena blanca. En la lejanía contemplé parajes inundados de mitologías ignoradas. Me sentí hechizado por una increíble procesión de luciérnagas lumínicas que flotaban lejos de la realidad.

Untuí espíritus impalpables y me embriagué con los efluvios de un vino perfumado con pétalos de rosa, sándalo y raíces de jengibre.

Cuando desperté todo parecía irreal. La magia de los sueños nos transporta a países virtuales donde lo improbable se vuelve real y donde la realidad se torna fantasía.

Los sueños son díficiles de interpretar, pero si te dejan un sabor de miel en los labios y tu espíritu se impregna de perfumes con notas de maderas exóticas e incienso, tienes ganas que regrese la noche para seguir soñando dulcemente.

Last night I watched an amazing showers of shooting stars from my lighthouse. I do not know if it was real or a dream. The truth is that this unusual occurrence has made me reflect on the meaning of life. The human being is designed or has gone through successive design changes to live a period of time and transmitting life in a generational chain without end. Towards where is going this process? Nobody knows. It's the million dollar question and depending on how it is better not to know.


Life is very fragile and to preserve itself has acquired intellectual and emotional mechanisms that emanate from the brain system. To achieve this aim, life has created sensations such as happiness or pain. Happiness anesthesia us and allows us to move forward, even knowing that life may not make any sense. Physical pain serves to prevent deterioration of the body. These cybernetic mechanisms protecting life. Love, the maternal instinct, vanity, glory, pleasure, power, faith, hope, charity, ignorance, among others, also have their mission as guardians of life.

Anoche contemplé una alucinante una lluvia de estrellas fugaces desde mi faro. No sé si fue real o un sueño. Lo cierto es que este hecho insólito me ha hecho reflexionar sobre el sentido de la vida. El ser humano está diseñado o se ha ido diseñando a través de sucesivas evoluciones para vivir un periodo de tiempo determinado y transmitir la vida en una cadena de relevos generacional sin fin. ¿Hacia dónde va este proceso? Nadie lo sabe. Es la pregunta del millón y según cómo es mejor no saberlo.


La vida es muy frágil y para preservarse a si misma se ha dotado de mecanismos emocionales e intelectuales que emanan del sistema cerebral. Para lograr esta finalidad, la vida ha creado sensaciones cómo la felicidad o el dolor. Felicidad que nos anestesia y nos permite seguir adelante, aún sabiendo que la vida quizás no tenga ningún sentido. El dolor físico sirve para prevenir el deterioro del cuerpo. Estos mecanismos cibernéticos protegen la vida. El amor, el instinto maternal, la vanidad, la gloria, el placer, el poder, la fe, la esperanza, la caridad, la ignorancia, entre otros, también tienen su misión como guardianes de la vida.

La estabilidad emocional se ve reforzada asimismo por prácticas sociales como la religión, que además aportan la dimensión mágica y misteriosa del concepto de infinito que ha sido nombrada con diversos nombres cómo Dios, espiritualidad o trascendencia de la vida. El sexo y la sensualidad también tienen su papel primordial en la evolución de la especie, asegurando la reproducción y permitiendo que esta sea placentera.

Todos estos mecanismos se sustentan sobre un conjunto de elementos materiales que en una primera visión podríamos asimilar a los elementos químicos de la tabla periódica. No obstante existen dimensiones desconocidas en esta consideración de la materia que nos llevan a mundos mucho más esotéricos como la existencia de partículas subátomicas e inclusive el mundo inquietante de las supercuerdas.

Estos elementos químicos se organizan de tal manera que realizan lo que a simple vista para los humanos podemos calificar de milagro: que un ser humano cumpla su objetivo a la perfección como ser social. Evidentementa a nivel individual no todos los seres humanos logran el objetivo final de vivir la edad media promedio que les corresponde.

Algunos individuos sufren notable desajustes en su estabilidad emocional, lo que pone a prueba la persistencia de su vida. Pero la vida se debe considerar en su conjunto. Debe ser contemplada de forma estadística. La vida no debe ser perfecta individualmente, no es necesario. Basta con que en global no se rompa la cadena evolutiva que la mantiene en funcionamiento. En ocasiones ciertos grupos de moléculas, como los neurotransmisores cerebrales, se desajustan y esto ocasiona que ciertos individuos se aparten de lo que es aconsejable para la vida. Su angustia existencial es un poderoso peligro para la misma.


En ocasiones aparecen síntomas de infelicidad peligrosos: depresiones, melancolías o estados recurrentes de preguntarse por la razón última de nuestra existencia. Por suerte para la vida, en nuestra sociedad siempre hay individuos que velarán para amortiguar estos efectos perniciosos. Dede mi atalaya privilegiada del faro marino, mi visión del mundo es más lúcida y opaca al mismo tiempo. La vida sigue siendo un misterio.

Pearl Harbor is also riddled with words destruction of the fortress. Hiroshima is encoded in a sequence of 1945 equidistant points, which is the year that the atomic bomb fell. President Kennedy is inevitably next to Dallas, as if everything were predestined from the beginning of time.

I could speak at length on chance and necessity and that Einstein's famous statement "God does not play dice" and could go deeper into the ultimate meaning of this concept, but I'll leave that for later.

También relata Drosnisn que los matemáticos israelitas realizaron búsquedas sistemáticas del termino holocausto que dio por resultado la obtención de resultados estremecedores: Hitler y nazi se encontraban junto a matanza; Alemania se cruzaba con nazis y Berlín. Y el hombre que dirigió los campos de concentración, Eichmann , aparecía junto a hornos y exterminio.


Y así muchos más detalles acerca de este tema son relatados por Drosnin. A una pregunta del autor dirigida a un destacado matemático de Yale, este respondía: " Es posible, en teoría, creer en el código de la Biblia sin creer en Dios. Pero aquel que acepta la existencia de Dios ya no necesita preguntarse quién puede ver el futuro."

La existencia de Dios siempre me ha parecido un tema de controversia, y es muy fácil perderse en un mar de incredulidad analizando la virtualidad de la vida. Shakespeare forma parte de una secuencia, donde también aparecen Hamlet y Macbeth. Beethoven y Johann Bach aparecen como compositores alemanes y Rembrandt está codificado como holandés y pintor. Picasso figura como el artista.

Asimismo los hermanos Wright están conectados con la palabra aeroplano. Edison figura junto a electricidad y bombilla; Marconi junto a radio; junto a Newton aparece gravedad. Pearl Harbor también aparece atravesado por las palabras destrucción de la fortaleza. Hiroshima está codificado en una secuencia equidistante de 1945 letras, que es el año que cayó la bomba atómica. El presidente Kennedy aparece indefectiblemente junto a Dallas, como si todo estuviese predestinado desde el principio de los tiempos.

Podría hablar largo y tendido sobre el azar y la necesidad y de aquella frase célebre de Einstein " Dios no juega a los dados", y podría profundizar un poco más en el significado definitivo de este concepto, pero esto lo dejaré para más adelante
